- Can a horse travel on its own ?
Yes, we can ship a single horse,although it is more economical to ship horses in lots of three as this does reduce the air freight costs.
- Can a mare travel in foal or with a foal at foot ?
Yes, its is recommended that a mare in foal travel in her second trimester.
- Can we import semen ?
Yes, but the protocol for the importation of semen is very strict.
- How are the horses transported ?
Air Freight, in purpose built Air Stables accompanied by professional grooms. AEES use and recommend IRT and Instone professional livestock transport.
- How do I choose or find a horse ?
A: AEES has a range of options available to help you select a suitable horse. (a) Our On-Line Catalogue and Sale Page. (b) Alternatively AEES can find a horse/s based on your specific criteria.
- I have found a photo of a horse I like on the website how do I get more information ?
On receiving your horse enquiry AEES will email you the horses portfolio including additional photos and video footage. Once you have received this and you are happy with the information, you can then choose a number of options. 1. Buying Tour. You travel to Australia to inspect to buy. AEES can provide a fully escorted buying tour. Please note all travel arrangements are at the buyers expense.) 2. Pre-Export Equine Veterinary Inspection. (AEES highly recommends all horses be vet checked at the buyers expense.)
- Now that I have paid for my horse, how do I know that the horse I have purchased is the same horse that gets off the plane ?
